Banyan tree Retreat

June 4, 2007

When was the last time the only sound you heard was that of your heart beating??

Unable to listen to the sound of wholeness amidst the clamor of our lives, we escape to a place where we can focus on the sounds from within.  So, i ended up in Banyan tree retreat, Jagjit Singh Live in Concert….where i caught a fleeting glimpse, a tantalizing flash of what it must be to feel this surging sense of oneness with surrounding.

Ghajal maesto Jagjit singh is name in himself and needs no introduction. The ghajal legend…words are not there to describe his sensational work and needless to say anything about his melliflous voice…Simply One of its kind.

An evening of medleys & jugalbandis:

Aag ka kya hian, pal do pal main lagti hian…
bhoojte bhoojte ek jamana lagata hian..
tera cheara kitna suhana lagata hain
tere aage chaand purana lagata hian

Feeling high after attending the concert…this post is Just like that for the feeling of happiness , for the sense of aura created by music. I know its all unstructured and not linked…but, i am lost.

not to digress further, i will end the post from where i started…Listen to your being, it is continuously giving you hints; it is a still, small voice.  It does not shout at you. And if you are a little silent, you will start feeling your way.

Or just search for places of retreat :P  All this are just reason for attending the concert…as i have already attended the same twice before.

Something got me thinking about it from ages …. what i feel, i believe

Giving a weak attempt at writing all this…..which has something to do with the fragility of joy, feeling of Confusion, State of utter excitement or state of Nirvana…

Its true then, when you are at the top, the only way to go is down. Or I will say… its vicious circle, goes round n round …till you find the universal truth of who am i? What I want? …the so called my whimsical SOUL SEARCHING or Crap!!!

On same lines…I came across some lines( Courtesy 3doors)

It’s down to this

I’ve got to make this life make sense
Can anyone tell what I’ve done
I miss the life
I miss the colours of the world
Can anyone tell where I am
‘Cause now again I’ve found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines into the darkest place
I’m so far down, away from the sun
That shines to light the way for me
To find my way back into the arms
That care about the ones like me
I’m so far down, away from the sun again

It’s down to this

I’ve got to make this life make sense
And now I can’t tell what I’ve done
And now again I’ve found myself
So far down, away from the sun
That shines to light the way for me
